So, I read this super interesting article called “Carlos III, coronado rey de Inglaterra” by El Periodista. It’s crazy to think about a Spanish king becoming the King of England, but apparently, it almost happened in the 1700s.

Basically, Carlos III was proposed as a candidate by English politicians who were trying to avoid having a Catholic monarch.
