Ed Sheeran gana juicio en Nueva York: Lo acusaban de plagio por su éxito mundial "Thinking Out Loud"

Man, have you heard about the lawsuit against Ed Sheeran for his hit song “Thinking Out Loud”? Well, good news - he won the case in New York! Basically, the lawsuit claimed that he had plagiarized Marvin Gaye’s “Let’s Get It On” when creating his song, but the judge ruled in favor of Sheeran.

For those who haven’t heard “Thinking Out Loud,” it’s a beautiful, romantic ballad that’s been played at countless weddings and has over 2 billion views on YouTube. Marvin Gaye’s “Let’s Get It On” is a classic soul song from the ’70s, known for its sultry vocals and smooth melody. However, the similarities between the two songs were apparently not enough to prove actual plagiarism.

Personally, I’m not sure if I hear the resemblance between the two songs, but I can understand why people would be quick to point the finger. These kinds of lawsuits are becoming more and more common in the music industry, as artists and producers try to protect their intellectual property. Plus, with so much music being produced and shared online, it’s easy for people to feel like their original creations are being ripped off.

At the end of the day, it’s important for artists to be original and creative, while also being respectful of the work that’s come before them. I’m glad that Ed Sheeran was able to clear his name and keep making the music that he loves.
