FUE RECHAZADO POR LOS PAISES EN ONU BRAKING NEWS

The recent United Nations General Assembly saw a surprising move as a resolution proposed by Cuba and seconded by Venezuela was rejected by the majority of member states. The resolution called for a lifting of the decades-long embargo imposed by the United States against Cuba. The Cuban Foreign Minister, Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, presented a strong case for ending the embargo, citing its devastating economic and humanitarian impact on the people of Cuba. However, the US representative, Kim In-ryong, maintained that the embargo was a necessary response to Cuba’s alleged human rights violations and interference in US affairs. In the end, the resolution received support from only 13 of the 193 member states, with 176 abstaining and 3, including the United States, voting against it. The rejection of the resolution has been met with disappointment by Cuba and Venezuela, who have long campaigned for the end of the embargo. This move is indicative of the deep political and ideological divisions that exist within the international community and underscores the need for diplomacy and dialogue to resolve such disputes. The embargo has long been a contentious issue between the US and Cuba and has had wide-reaching implications for the Cuban people. Its continued existence is a reminder of the complex and often fraught nature of international relations and the need for constructive engagement among nations to mitigate conflicts and promote peace.
