Hinchada penquista de La Roja dio el ejemplo ante Cuba en Concepción

I just read this dope article about the hinchada penquista (Chilean soccer fans from Concepción) and how they set a great example for the rest of the country during a recent match against Cuba. Basically, La Roja (the national team) was playing Cuba in Concepción and the hinchada showed up in full force, but unlike other soccer games that can get pretty rowdy and aggressive, they were super respectful and friendly to everyone around them. They started chants that were positive and inclusive, and even helped clean up the stadium after the game was over. It was so cool to see how a group of passionate fans could set such a great example and create a positive atmosphere.

I’ve been to a few soccer games before and they can definitely get intense. I remember one time when I saw a fan throw a beer can at the opposing team’s bench and get kicked out of the stadium. It was pretty scary and I definitely didn’t feel safe. But reading about how the hinchada penquista handled themselves made me realize that it’s possible to have a good time and support your team without resorting to violence or disrespect. Plus, it’s always great to see people coming together and spreading positivity.

Overall, I think it’s important to recognize and celebrate examples of good behavior and sportsmanship, especially in a world where it can feel like negativity and divisiveness are everywhere. The hinchada penquista showed that it’s possible to be both passionate and respectful, and I hope that other soccer fans (and sports fans in general) will take note and follow their lead.
