So, I read this crazy article titled “Hombre asaltó ambulancia y robó una camilla en Quillota: ‘Salven a mi amigo o los voy a matar…’” and it’s in Spanish (I know, shocker!). But basically, it’s about this guy who held up an ambulance and stole a stretcher in Chile because he was trying to save his friend and threatened to kill anyone who got in his way.
Now, I’ve never had to steal a stretcher or anything like that, but this kind of desperation reminds me of when my friend’s brother had a serious medical emergency and we all felt a sense of helplessness. It’s scary to think about the lengths we might go to try and save someone we love.
Anyway, the article says that the man was arrested and is facing charges for the robbery, but it’s unclear what happened to his friend. It’s a crazy story, but it also highlights the importance of emergency services and the pressure they’re under to help people in need. It’s a good reminder to be grateful for the first responders in our communities. Crazy times we live in, folks. Stay safe out there.
