So, I was reading this crazy article about two politicians, Kast and Matthei, who are freaking out about Boric’s support of the Estallido protestors. Have you heard about this?
Basically, Kast and Matthei are accusing Boric of trying to brainwash people into supporting the Estallido protests. They’re claiming that he’s using his influence to promote a dangerous political agenda that will only lead to more chaos and division in the country.
To be honest, I find it kind of funny that politicians are so quick to jump to these kinds of accusations. It’s like they’re more interested in scoring political points than in actually listening to what people are saying.
But in all seriousness, this kind of rhetoric is dangerous, especially in a time when tensions are high and people are already feeling frustrated and angry. It’s important that we take a step back and try to understand where everyone is coming from, rather than just dismissing them as brainwashed or extremist.
At the end of the day, I think the most important thing is to stay informed and engaged, and to be willing to have difficult conversations with people who might have different views than our own. Only then can we hope to find common ground and work together to create a more just and equitable society.
