Matthei acusa corrupción al interior de Fiscalía tras desaparición de escuchas telefónicas en caso Luminarias que involucra a Daniel Jadue

According to Matthei, these missing recordings could reveal evidence of serious corruption within the prosecutor’s office. The Luminarias case is related to the irregularities detected in the purchasing of LED streetlights, where Jadue allegedly benefited from the purchase of materials from his own relatives.

The prosecutor’s office immediately denied any wrongdoing and stated that the recordings were deleted accidentally. However, with the doubts, this case is creating on the transparency of the country, Matthei has also called for an external auditing process and overseers to observe the case to maintain trust.

It is not the first time that a political leader claims corruption within the prosecutor’s office in Chile.
