"No corresponde a influenza aviar": investigan muerte de más del mil aves en borde costero de Coquimbo

So I read this article about over a thousand dead birds in Coquimbo, but apparently it’s not due to avian influenza! The authorities are still investigating the cause of their deaths, but it’s definitely not a virus that can harm humans.

According to the article, the birds were found along the coastal area of Coquimbo and their bodies are being examined to determine the cause of death. The authorities suspect it may be due to food poisoning or exposure to toxins. So far, they haven’t found any indications of an epidemic or contagious disease.

Honestly, I found this article fascinating because it reminded me of a time when my childhood pet bird suddenly passed away. We never knew what happened, but it was a shock because she seemed perfectly healthy and happy. It’s heartbreaking to hear that so many birds in Coquimbo have suffered a similar fate.

I think it’s important to pay attention to these mysterious deaths and for the authorities to continue investigating so they can prevent similar incidents from happening in the future. It’s also a reminder of how delicate our environment can be and our role in protecting it.
