I recently read an article titled “Partido Comunista logra alto crecimiento en número de votantes durante las elecciones de Consejeros Constitucionales” and I was blown away by the numbers.
Basically, the article states that the Communist Party saw a huge increase in voters during the recent elections for Constitutional Councilors. They went from 16.92% of the votes in 2016 to 30.63% in 2021 - that’s almost double!
What’s interesting is that this increase in support for the Communist Party comes at a time when people are becoming more disillusioned with traditional political parties. It seems that people are searching for alternatives and the Communist Party is filling that gap.
Growing up in a communist country, I know firsthand the impact that a communist government can have on a society. While I am not advocating for communism, I do believe that it’s important to understand the reasons why people are turning to these types of parties.
Overall, this article highlights the shifting political landscape in many countries and the need for new ideas and perspectives. It also reminds us of the importance of staying informed and engaged in our political systems, even if we don’t always agree with them.
