So, I came across this really interesting article titled “Preocupa baja tasa de vacunación contra la influenza,” and it talks about how there is a worryingly low rate of vaccination against the flu this year. Basically, the article explains that even though the flu vaccine is readily available and highly recommended by health experts, people are just not getting vaccinated like they should.
From what I understand, the article explains that this could be due to a combination of factors like distrust in vaccines, misconceptions about the flu, and even apathy towards getting vaccinated. I found this really shocking because I personally think that getting vaccinated is such an important part of staying healthy.
In fact, last year, I skipped getting the flu shot and ended up getting really sick- I’m talking non-stop coughing, body aches, and feeling like death warmed over. It was one of the worst experiences of my life and I don’t ever want to go through that again. This is why I think it’s so important for everyone to get vaccinated- it not only protects you, but it also helps prevent the spread of the flu to others who may be more susceptible to its effects.
Overall, I think we need to spread more awareness about the importance of getting vaccinated, especially during flu season. It’s crucial that we all do our part to keep ourselves and our communities as healthy as possible.
