So, I was reading this article on CHVNoticias about a new poll in Chile that asked people who they would prefer as their next president. The results were pretty interesting! Kast, Matthei, Carter, and Vallejo were the top picks.
Basically, the poll called “Pulso Ciudadano” surveyed a bunch of people across Chile to see who they would vote for in the upcoming presidential election. Kast, who is from the far-right party, came out on top with 15.9% of the vote. Matthei, from the center-right party, came in second place with 9.1%. Meanwhile, Carter, from the Christian Democrats, and Vallejo, from the Communist Party, tied for third place with 8.5%.
I found it really interesting that there was such a mix of political parties that made it to the top of the list. It’s just proof that Chileans have a lot of varied opinions and ideas about who they want to lead their country. Personally, I don’t know much about Kast or Vallejo, but I know Matthei and Carter have been pretty involved in politics for a while now.
Overall, I think this poll is important because it shows us a glimpse of what the political landscape looks like in Chile right now. It’s also interesting to think about what each of these candidates might bring to the table if they were to become president. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see what happens!
