So, there’s this crazy article I read about protests against President Boric in Chile. Hundreds of people gathered outside La Moneda, the presidential palace, to demand his resignation. Apparently, the protesters feel that Boric has broken campaign promises and failed to address important issues like poverty and inequality.
From what I can gather, the “renuncia” movement has been gaining momentum in Chile for a while now, with more and more people getting frustrated with the government. In fact, I remember seeing some similar protests when I visited Santiago a few years ago.
It’s interesting to see how different countries are dealing with political turmoil these days. It’s also a reminder that we should always stay informed and engaged, even if things seem far away from our own lives. Who knows, maybe we’ll be the ones protesting next. But hopefully not, because that sounds like a lot of work.
