I read an article today about the Republican party in my country confirming that Luis Silva will be the head of the Constitutional Council. Apparently, they’re not too happy about some expert’s opinions on the Constitution text. Basically, the Republicans think the experts are being too progressive and trying to change the Constitution too much. They feel that it should stay just the way it is.
I remember when I was taking a civics class in high school, we had a debate about the Constitution and how it should be adapted to modern times. Some of my classmates thought that it was important to change it to reflect our current values and beliefs, while others thought it should stay the same. It’s interesting to see that this debate is still going on today.
Overall, I think it’s important to keep an open mind when it comes to matters like these. While it’s important to respect our country’s traditions and values, we also need to be willing to adapt and change with the times. Otherwise, we may find ourselves left behind and outdated.
