So, I just read an article about how Registered Nurses (RNs) are going to provide legal guidance to families of deceased infants who may want to file a lawsuit against the subsecretary of Health, Alberto Dougnac Araos. Apparently, there have been several cases where newborns died due to a medical error that could have been easily prevented. And even though the families have demanded answers and justice, their cries have been ignored by the authorities. That’s why a group of nurses has decided to step up and offer support to these grieving families so they can seek justice and hold those responsible accountable for their actions.
As someone who’s been in a hospital before, I can only imagine how devastating it must be to lose a child because of a mistake that could have been avoided. I think it’s admirable that these nurses are taking a stand and using their expertise to help the families obtain closure and justice. It’s disheartening to hear that the authorities have failed to take action and address the issues at hand. Hopefully, this push for accountability and transparency will lead to changes that can prevent such tragedies from occurring in the future.
