So I just came across this article that had me laughing and shaking my head at the same time. It’s about how Sharp, a company that makes TVs and other electronic gadgets, went on a bit of a rant against Republicans after they criticized the company for not being “American” enough.
Basically, Sharp had to shut down one of their factories in the US due to financial difficulties, and Republicans were not happy about it. They basically said that Sharp was not patriotic and should have done more to keep the factory open. Well, Sharp didn’t take kindly to that and fired back with some choice words of their own.
They basically said that they are a global company and have operations all over the world, not just in the US. They also pointed out that their headquarters is actually in Osaka, Japan, so they are not even an American company to begin with. Ouch!
I don’t know much about the electronics industry or politics, but I do know that it’s pretty funny to see a company get so heated about criticism from politicians. It just goes to show that even big corporations have personalities and can get offended like the rest of us.
All in all, I think this article is a good reminder that we live in a global economy, and companies are not always going to do what’s best for just one country. It’s important to understand the bigger picture and not just jump to conclusions based on political rhetoric.
So there you have it, folks. Sharp may not be American, but they sure know how to throw some shade at Republican politicians.
