¿Tienes el hígado graso? Esta dieta podría detenerlo, según nueva investigación

Are you worried about having a fatty liver? According to new research, reducing the intake of certain foods may help stop or even reverse the condition. A recent study published in the Journal of Hepatology suggests that cutting down on foods high in saturated fats and simple carbohydrates like white bread and pasta can prevent the accumulation of fat in liver cells. Instead, a diet rich in whole grains, fruits, vegetables, legumes, and lean proteins may be beneficial. The study involved nearly 300 overweight adults with fatty liver disease, who were randomly assigned to either a low-carbohydrate or a low-fat diet. After 8 weeks of following the diets, both groups showed an improvement in liver fat, but those on the low-carbohydrate diet had a greater reduction. While further research is needed to determine the long-term effects of these diets on liver health, this study provides evidence that diet can play a crucial role in preventing and treating fatty liver disease. Given that this condition affects about 25% of the global population and is often linked to obesity and type 2 diabetes, making dietary changes could be a simple but effective way to improve liver function and overall health.
