UDI ingresa proyecto para que se respeten los 12 bordes democráticos del Acuerdo por Chile

The opposition party in Chile, UDI, has presented a project to ensure that the 12 democratic points of the Agreement for Chile are respected. The initiative aims to strengthen democracy and transparency in the country’s institutions.

The Agreement for Chile was signed in November 2019 by representatives of political parties and social organizations to address the social crisis that the country faced at the time. The document outlines 12 points that include measures such as increasing citizen participation, fighting corruption, and ensuring social welfare.

The UDI’s initiative proposes the creation of a monitoring committee comprised of representatives from different sectors, such as academia and civil society, to oversee compliance with the Agreement’s points. The committee would also have the power to report any deviations from the agreement to the relevant authorities.

This project is particularly noteworthy because it represents a significant step towards greater accountability and democracy in Chilean politics. The country has experienced significant political instability in recent years, with protests demanding change and reforms. The UDI’s proposal shows that there are still efforts underway to promote positive change and ensure that Chilean democracy continues to strengthen.

Overall, the UDI’s initiative demonstrates how important it is to maintain and strengthen democratic institutions in any country. With the proposed monitoring committee, Chile has the potential to set an example for other nations in the region and beyond, showcasing how democracy and transparency are key to a fair and just society.
